Now Playing: 30 million bags of Luggage lost in 2005 .....NO JOKE!
Topic: ANYBODY * ANYDAY
GENEVA (AP press clip)
--If you've ever been frustrated after an airline lost your luggage, you're in the good company of millions of others. An estimated 30 million bags were temporarily lost by airlines in 2005, and 200,000 of those bags were never reunited with their owners, according to an industry report released Monday. (More on this here)
These fools break and damage enough luggage to start with, but now.....
Then they loose 30 million pieces of baggage?
I can not believe this?
My thought is how can they look for a terrorist and bombs if they can't even keep track of my suitcase!
I wonder what percent of the "missing" is really stolen by their own staff?
Probably 95%
I did read where only 3 percent of all misdirection of baggage occurred due to tagging errors.
And by the way, there is no industry standard for permanently lost bags, and items.
In some countries are the luggage is later sold at auctions.
In the United States, the Unclaimed Baggage Center in Scottsboro, Alabama, sells more than 1 million items each year
My lost luggage is one thing but the whole TIA security is about as well run as the baggage department ...read My Zebra 3 Report from a few days ago on the bomb making explosives and parts that 21 airports failed to find or catch
In spite of the "BIG CRACKDOWN" on Terrorism they cant even begin to get it right let alone track my luggage and provide me a safe flight. I'm not asking for much, beings I gave up my civil rights for them to do all this?!
