Bush appointed him to the job temporarily in August 2005 while Congress was in recess, an appointment that will expire when the Congress adjourns, no later than January. ((Read Full Article Here))
Here is a good reason for an example of the type of politics this guy represents my country as......that I totally disagree with....
The United States has vetoed a U.N. Security Council draft resolution condemning Israel’s killing of civilians in the town of Beit Hanun in the Gaza Strip.
Washington has vetoed a draft on Israeli operations for the second time this year.
In the voting of a draft resolution that would condemn the Israeli attacks in Gaza Strip, and especially the one on Beit Hanun where 18 civilians were killed, 10 Security Council members supported the draft, whereas Japan, Denmark, Great Britain and Slovakia abstained.
Despite overwhelming support, the draft was not passed because of U.S. opposition.
U.S. Representative to the Security Council John Bolton claimed that the draft did not impartially reflect what was happening in Gaza and said that their objection was based on its unbalanced and biased content.
To hell with his Neocon agenda get the bum out of "our" UN position!
